Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed that he terminated his three-year deal with Las Palmas in order to have enough time with his family

The 30-year-old joined the Canaries last season on free transfer, but he was an instant hit in his debut La Liga season, scoring 10 goals to emerge as the club's top scorer.

He was rewarded with a three-year deal, after he had turned down offers from several European clubs both in Spain and abroad.

In a news conference held to announced Boateng’s departure, the Ghanaian said:

“A very difficult day for me, it is not easy to understand and is my responsibility.”

“It’s a decision as a father, as a husband, not as a player.

“I take this decision for my family which is the most important thing.

“I’m not well being away from my family, I told the President and he understood.”

Last season Boateng emerged as the club’s top scorer with 10 goals.
