Accra Hearts of Oak will be deducted six points if Accra Gt. Olympics succeeds with a protest against the Phobians for failing to pay a fine of GHc10,000 slapped on them by the Ghana Football Association (GFA)
Hearts of Oak SC were fined an amount GHc10,000(GHc5000 suspended) for breaching the GFA’s sponsorship agreement with NASCO after their Ghana Premier League match against Liberty Professionals played in Accra.
The Phobians appealed against the decision and they were further fined an additional GHc5000 to make the sum GHc10,000.

Hearts of Oak were supposed to pay the fine within 14 working days or forfeit the three maximum points and be deducted an additional three points in every match they play after the deadline.
The 20 times Ghana champions defeated Accra Gt. Olympics 2-1 on match day 26 of the Ghana Premier League at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra last weekend.
‘The Wonder Club’ following the defeat have lodged a protest against the Phobians for failing to redeem their fine within the 14 stipulated days.
However, Opare Addo, the Communications Director of Accra Hearts of Oak says Gt. Olympics’ protest has no basis, since they paid the fine on time.
“We received the protest on Tuesday, but Olympics have no grounds since we paid the fine earlier, days before the 14 days grace period,” he told Pulse Sports.
Hearts of Oak are lying 3 on the league log with four points separating them from the league leaders Aduana Stars and should they win their clash against the former the Phobians will close the gap to one points.
