UEFA bans Eric Bailly following red card

Man Uniteds Eric Bailly has been handed three games ban by UEFA after Europa red card following a red card against Celta Vigo in the Europa League semi-finals.

The Manchester United centre-back already missed the Europa League final after a moment of madness in the dying stages of the Europa League semi-final in May.

The defender was given his marching orders after being involved in a tussle with John Guidetti in the final moments of Manchester United’s Europa League semi-final win over Celta Vigo in May.

Bailly missed the final against Ajax but his ban has now been extended following a hearing and will now miss the European Super Cup clash with Real Madrid and Manchester United’s opening Champions League game of the season.

But the Old Trafford faithful are furious with UEFA claiming it was Antonio Valencia who should have been sent off for his involvement in the brawl, not Bailly.
