Newcastle United fans want Rafael Benitez to start Christian Atsu when they face Aston Villa on Monday night in the English Championship.

The 2015 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Most Valuable Player of the tournament is yet to start for Newcastle since December, when his side defeated Nottingham Forest 3-1.

Christian Atsu represented Ghana in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon between January and February and was away for three weeks.

The 25-year-old hasn't started for Newcastle, since his return, however, the fans of the club who want changes to be made in the team have urged manager Rafael Benitez to consider selection Christian Atsu to start when they face Aston Villa.
