"The West African Examinations Council wishes to inform its stakeholders that it is yet to release the results of the BECE for school candidates, 2018”, WAEC said in a statement signed by Agnes Teye-Cudjoe ,Head of Public Affairs.
"Members of the public are urged to disregard rumours circulating in the media that the results have been released. The Council will duly issue a statement announcing the release of the results after all post-examination processes have been completed,” the statement added.

The denial follows publications on social media that the examination body has released the results of BECE candidates.
Over 500 candidates from both public and private basic schools sat for the exams.
The statistics indicate that the candidates were from 16,060 public and private basic schools, with 263,295 being males and 246,529 being females.
