The Ghana Police service has expressed satisfaction with the way Ghanaians comported themselves by staying away from crime during the Easter festivities.
Criminals usually step up their activities and attack members of the public during such festivities.
But, Director of Public Affairs at the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Cephas Arthur has told Pulse.com.gh that in their assessment of crime so far, the celebration has comparatively been peaceful.
"Just a few petty crimes of stealing, assault and the rest, but the Easter was so successful, and as far as the entire country, we haven't received any bad news yet. We are still receiving reports from the hinterlands and outlying areas. But so far, so excellent," he said.
Superintendent Cephas Arthur added that the petty crimes reported were 'so normal', adding that "In all such cases, we managed to arrest the perpetrators," he added.
Scores of people from all corners of the country thronged Kwahu to witness different activities like paragliding, hiking and walk race lined up for the celebrations.

Thousands of Police personnel were deployed throughout the country to offer enhanced protection to citizens from criminal activities and miscreants during the festivities.
