The quartet of Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu, Abdul Majeed Waris and Adam Larsen Kwarasay and Mubarak Wakaso have been excluded from Ghana’s squad to face Congo in a double-header world cup qualifier.

Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah Monday named his 24-man squad to face the RedDevils, with the aforementioned players conspicuously missing.
Agyemang-Badu, who recently joined Turkish side Bursaspor, was expected to make a return to the team having been dropped for Ghana’s last AFCON qualifier against Ethiopia.
The former Udinese midfielder made a strong start to life in Turkey by scoring on his debut in Bursaspor’s 3-2 win over Alanyaspor.
However, that has not been enough to convince Kwesi Appiah to hand him a recall into the national team fold.

Fellow striker Majeed Waris, who was named in Ghana’s last squad, is also not part of the released list.
The Lorient striker has had a mixed season so far, and it appears he has a lot more to do in order to make a comeback.
Another notable name missing from the latest squad is AdamKwarasay whose international career is now looking increasingly bleak.
The Valarenga goalkeeper is yet to play for the Black Stars since Kwesi Appiah was reappointed, and he has once again been omitted with the coach rather favouring Richard Ofori, Lawrence Ati Zigi and Joseph Addo.

Newly-signed Alaves midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has also been left out of the squad, having reportedly fallen out with Appiah following some utterances he made.
David Accam and Juventus man KwadwoAsamoah were also not named, raising the number to five notable absentees in the current squad.
The usual suspects, though, have been called up, with Andre Ayew, Asamoah Gyan and Thomas Partey all included.
Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu also returns after missing the last international assignment through injury.
The Black Stars will take on Congo in a crucial world cup qualifier on September 1 in Kumasi before heading to Brazzaville to face the Red Devils in the return fixture on September 5.
