Churches exist to develop people in the Christian faith and to spread the message of the Gospel.

While the Word of God is free, often times spreading the good news is not and it takes money to do so.

Founder and leader of Glory Prayer Ministry, Prophet Daniel Owusu Bempah has said pastors who extort monies from poor church members will bring curses on their children.

According to him, it's a curse when pastors take monies from church members desperate for spiritual attention.

He said the act of taking monies for consultation by the various pastors before they agree to meet members and people who come to their church with problems is bad.

Speaking on Accra-based Asempa FM, he alleged that corrupt pastors are popping up using the name of God to make money.

"Any pastor who charge consultation fee will bring curses on his children. It is clear they are simply not interested in the salvation of the people. Clearly, pastors are confused, and many are corrupt but not all have evil intentions," he said.
