Fire has engulfed the official residence of police personnel at Berekum in the Brong Ahafo region.

The incident, which happened around 3.30pm Thursday, destroyed over ten rooms.

Several properties worth thousands of cedis were also destroyed by the fire.

Reports say no lives were lost, as many of the police personnel, who were occupants of the rooms, were at post.

Personnel of the Fire Service were at the scene to douse the blaze.
