The ranking member on Foreign Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has slammed the attack on the Ashanti regional security coordinator, George Agyei, by group of men from the governing New Patriotic Party’s Delta Force, a private army of the party.
According to him, the security bodies known to the state are the Police and the Army, warning that the Delta Force and the Invincible Forces could grow to become like Boko Haram.
“These groups all over the place be it the Delta Force, the Invincible Forces, whatever they call themselves, they are not know to parliament, they are not know to the constitution. They should not be tolerated, “he said.

Mr Okudzeto, who served as the deputy minister in charge of tertiary education, charged the government to show leadership.
“It is important to make this point clearly. We need to see leadership,” he said.
"I am not referring to leaders only within the NPP but leaders in all political parties must rise up against these crooks,” he said.
The Delta Force says it cannot work with the regional security coordinator, Mr Adjei since he is not a native of the region.
According to the members, the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei-Mensah, has already been petitioned about the appointment of Mr Adjei but he is yet to act on it.
