Black Stars captain not interested in Al Ahly

Asamoah Gyan will not be moving to Egypt club Al Ahly as offers from Europe and the Gulf region come in for the Black Stars captain.

Reports out of Egypt on Monday indicated that Ahly had offered a loan deal to Gyan and were awaiting a response.

Gyan is currently contracted to Chinese Super League side Shanghai SIPG but seems to have fallen out of favour after the signing of Brazilian star Hulk.

"We are aware of the interest but Asamoah Gyan is not interested at the moment. He has a host of offers from Europe and the Gulf region and will decide at the right time," a source close to the player told Pulse Sports.

The Black Stars captain moved to China from Arabian Gulf League club Al Ain and impressed in the first season. A host of injuries have however limited Gyan’s chances at Shanghai SIPG recently.
