For years, loss of property has been predominant with the disaster but it seems this has changed as unconfirmed reports claim about 100 people have either drown or been burned to death in a tragic combination of fire and flood that consumed some parts of Accra yesterday.

Currently 75 people have been confirmed dead in a fire that engulfed a Goil service station at the overcrowded Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra.

Earlier reports of people drowning as the Oddorna River in Adabraka overflowed its bank rocked social media, but it seems no one was prepared for the loss of lives to this magnitude.
