The yet-to-be-named suspect was arrested in an operation led by the Accra Regional Police Commander, COP Dr George Akuffo Dampare, on Thursday, February 11, 2016.

According to the Communications Director, Nana Akomea who spoke to Joy FM, "We congratulate the Ghana Police for the excellent work that they've done so far... We are very gratified with its silver-lining and its whole sordid. We are extremely grateful to the Ghana Police with the kind of energy they've brought to this matter."

According to COP Dr George Akuffo Dampare , the team mounted a thorough search last night and subsequently arrested the suspect at his hideout.

He told the media the suspect has confessed to committing the crime and has mentioned the names of his co-conspirators.

The Accra Regional Police Command has also expressed gratitude to the public and individuals who cooperated with the police by giving vital information leading to the arrest.
