Black Stars training attracts large crowd in Kumasi

Kumasi fans showed on Tuesday that their love for the Black Stars has not faded away when they trooped to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Tuesday to watch the Black Stars train.

The Black Stars last played a game in Kumasi three years ago in a friendly encounter which ended 3-1 against the Hawks of Togo.

It appears, the Kumasi fans who are die hard supporters of the Black Stars are missing the feeling of witnessing their darling team play.

The Black Stars started non residential camping in Accra last week, before they moved to Kumasi on Monday to start intensive preparation for the tie against Ethiopia.

At the moment 25 of the 26 players who are expected in camp have arrived. Jonathan Mensah is the only player who has thus far hasn't reported in camp.

Ghana will open the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign against Ethiopia on Sunday.

This is going to be the first test of coach James Kwesi Appiah on his return as the head coach of the Black Stars.
