Jordan Ayew, Harrison Afful ruled out of Congo hurdle in Brazzaville

Jordan Ayew missed out on the Black Stars Monday training at Ohene Djan Sports Stadium on Monday due stomach upset, whereas Harrison Afful has opted out after suffering foot injury, so the duo will not travel with the team to Brazzaville for the reverse fixture against Congo.

This has increased the number of injuries in the camp of the Black Stars- Asamoah Gyan has a groin, John Boye is equally not fit and he was sidelined when Ghana drew 1-1 against Congo in Kumasi last week Friday. Meanwhile Andre Ayew has also opted out of the Congo tie due to injury trouble.

The Black Stars will face Congo on Tuesday in their quest to revive their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification hopes.

Ghana would have to  beat Congo and hope that Egypt and Uganda tie ends in a draw to get the mathematical chance back on track.
