A lot of fleets became dormant, movements were limited, workforce was cut but some companies managed to stand out and made significant progress. One of these is South African fleet management company, Afrirent Fleet Pty Ltd.
Afrirent Fleet was formed in 2003 by businessman Senzo Tsabedze, and it began with just 2 trucks then grew to become one of the most progressive fleet companies in Southern Africa.
It is the main subsidiary of Afrirent Holdings which houses several investment divisions in Transport and Logistics, Private Public Partnerships, Leisure and Hospitality, Property and Retail Development.
Although many companies were met with massive predicaments in 2021, Afrirent Fleet came out relatively unscathed.
For the fleet management giant, the year coincided with securing of several business contracts for its portfolio including the mega deal with Coca Cola Bottlers South Africa with which they became the fleet management company responsible for repair and refurbishment Coca Cola’s huge truck and trailer fleet.
