A groom who was supposed to be celebrating his wedding ceremony was killed barely 12 hours after exchanging marital vows with his longtime girlfriend.
32-year-old Robert Yednak Jr. from Pennsylvania was struck and killed by a car hours after his wedding ceremony, WPXI News reports.

The deceased groom was knocked down by a Honda Civic car as he attempted to cross Business Route 66 on the evening of his wedding day along with another man.
The police pronounced Yednak dead at the scene while the other man was rushed to the hospital with leg injuries.

The tragedy occurred less than a 100 feet from the groom's home, according to reports from WPXI.
Yednak had dated his girlfriend for five years before marrying her the morning before the horrible incident.
