MTN tops latest NCA Service Quality Test

MTN has come up tops in the National Communications Authority’s Quality of Service drive tests conducted between 26 January to 29th February 2016.

The test was done according to five indicators ; Stand-alone Dedicated Control Channel (SDCCH) Congestion Rate, Traffic Channel Congestion Rate, Call Setup Time (CST), Call Drop Rate (CDR) and Call Completion Rate (CCR).

MTN’s 2G and 3G coverage in Accra Metropolis, Tema Municipal, Prampram and Kpone Districts after tests were conducted were found to be  Good  according to the report.

Chief Technical Officer of MTN Ghana, Mohammed Rufai reacted to the report saying, “NCA’s positive report continues to confirm MTN’s commitment towards network infrastructural development and our vision to lead the delivery of a bold new digital world.  We are glad the investments are showing in the services we provide, making it possible for our customers to enjoy a great customer experience.”

He added that  “It also confirms the robustness of our network and the distinct services MTN will offer customers when we fully launch 4G LTE in June 2016”, Mr Rufai added.
