The program, Safer Internet Day (SID) is run by the INSAFE network and is celebrated every year across Europe, and in other countries worldwide. This year’s falls on Tuesday 9th February, 2016 and Ghana is experiencing the 2nd celebration since it was first organized in Ghana last year.

At this year’s forum, speakers are going to discuss topics like, staying safe on Facebook, owning responsibility for your social media platforms etc.

“We also appreciate the fact that this year, the theme looks beyond just safety but goes to stress the need not building children and young people’s resilience to thrive within the cyber space", J Initiative stated.
