The $8.3 million project started in 2011 and it is financed by the World Bank and the Rockefeller Foundation will lease out spaces for BPO, advancement of software development and IT training services among other services.

Mr Edward Ato Sarpong, the Deputy Minister of Communications

The center is a collection of 12 old warehouses of the Public Works Department (PWD) which have been renovated into world class office buildings with each of the buildings occupying a space of 735 square meters, making a total of 8,820 square meters.

Mr. Sarpong said the project will be replicated in the three regions of the North as a means of stopping the youth from migrating to the capital in search of non-existing jobs.

Mamadou Biteye, the Managing Director of the Africa Regional Office at the Rockefeller Foundation, said Ghana is the only country all aspects of the foundation’s work are present.
