Watch Dwarfs goal against Hearts that electrified Cape Coast Stadium

Ebusua Dwarfs left winger, Nicholas Gyan headed in the goal that gave the hosts a point

Patrick Razak scored first for the Phobians but Nicholas Gyan restored parity for Dwarfs in the second half.

Hearts of Oak took control of the game from the blast of the referee’s whistle, they dominated the hosts. Patrick Razak could have opened the scoring in the 3 minute but he fluffed his strike after he was put through on goal by Cosmos Dauda.

The Phobians kept the heat on the Cape Coast giants and they opened the scoring in the 10th minute through diminutive winger Razak.

Dwarfs started warming themselves into the game, as they pushed Hearts of Oak back but the away side’s defenders were on hand to deal with Dwarf’s threat.

In the 22 minute Inusah Musah came to the rescue of the Phobians as he threw his body on a shot in Hearts of Oak box. Later Dwarfs burst forward again but Ben Mensah made a strong save.

Hearts of Oak also had their moment but Samuel Yeboah shot wide after Vincent Atingah headed a free-kick onto his path.

Mensah again stopped Dwarfs from getting the equalizer as he saved Christopher Bonney’s brilliant free-kick.

With five minutes to end the first half, Dwarfs mounted an intense pressure on the Phobians but Nicholas Gyan fluffed the chances he had. The Phobians responded swiftly but Musah missed the chance to head the ball home.

Two minutes into the second half Dwarfs unsettled the Phobians, as Nicholas Gyan pulled even for the hosts with a brilliant header.

Dwarfs after getting the equalizer they piled pressure on Hearts of Oak in search of their second goal in the game.

The hosts were persistent with the pressure – the Phobians failed to contain the swift play of the Cape Coast based side.

Bonney in the 65minute called Mensah into action again – the latter parried away a brilliant free-kick from Dwarfs’ right-back.

The Phobians began to find their rhythm – they were passing the ball around but they couldn’t break into Dwarfs’ backline.  In the 76 minute Daniel Kodie tried his luck from 30 yards but the ball took a deflection, but the Phobians wasted the resulted corner-kick.

In the final ten minutes of the game, the Phobians kept the pressure on the hosts as they tried to unlock Dwarfs defense but the away side failed to get their second goal.

Dwarfs also came close but Mensah gathered Gyan’s low strike.
