Liberty Professionals won 3-1 but the turf of the Carl Reindorf Stadium took the shine off the score line

There was torrential rains in most parts of Accra and the Carl Reindorf Stadium was no exception. Many spectators expected the game to be called off, but the match officials deemed it appropriate to stage a Ghanaian topflight game.

In the match itself Bernard Arthur scored twice, while Sarfo, the skipper of Scientific Soccer lads got the other for the hosts, with Seth Appiah getting the consolation for Berekum Chelsea.
