Preston players sent off for fighting EACH OTHER

The two strikers squared up near the end of Preston's 2-1 loss at Sheffield Wednesday as they chased an equaliser.

Preston North End players Jermaine Beckford and Eoin Doyle were both shown straight red cards for fighting each other in their side’s 2-1 defeat against Sheffield Wednesday.

In scenes reminiscent of the infamous Kieron Dyer v Lee Bowyer incident in 2005, both players received their marching orders for having a scrap late on in the game.

Trailing 2-1 but with a man advantage after Fernando Forestieri was sent off for the Owls earlier in the match, Beckford and Doyle both squared up to each other before being pulled apart and sent off.
