Black Stars edged Uzbekistan side Bunyodkor 2-0 in a an Africa Cup of Nations warm-up game on Tuesday in Dubai, UAE.
Ghana cruised to victory a 2-0, as they defeated Uzbekistan side Bunyodkor 2-0 in a pre-AFCON friendly on Tuesday.
Goals from Asamoah Gyan and Frank Acheampong gave Ghana a win in their first warm-up game ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Gabon.
The first half of the game was one sided. The Black Stars dominated play and came close to scoring on several occasions, but fluffed the opportunities.
Andre Ayew header went wide in the 19th minute, before he was denied by the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute.
Whereas his junior brother Jordan Ayew on two occasion failed to break the deadlock-his long range shot was saved by the goalie of the Uzbekistan club side and despite beating the goalie in his second attempt. he couldn't keep the ball into play, as it went wide.
Tekpetey came close to scoring in his first game for the Black Stars, but his powerful shot went wide to the relief of Bunyodkor.
The Black Stars continued to press for the the opener and finally they managed to break down the defence of Bunyodkor, after Asamoah Gyan who was introduced in the game put the ball beyond the reach of the goalkeeper in the 67th minute.
Before Frank Acheampong who also came on from the bench doubled the score line in the 75th minute.

Ghana will leave their camping base in Al Ain for Gabon on 14th January. They will face their group D opponent Uganda on 17th January to open the AFCON campaign.
