UEFA Europa League Ghana winger Frank Acheampong makes Europa Team of the week

Frank Acheampong has named in the UEFA Europa League Team of the week, after he powered Anderlecht to a 2-0 victory on Thursday.

Black Stars versatile player Frank Acheampong has been selected for the UEFA Europa League of the week, after he scored twice to see Anderlecht cruise to a 2-0 win against Zenit Petersburg on Thursday.

Acheampong scored in the 5th minute and 31st minute to inspire his side to 2-0 victory ahead of the second leg of the round of 16 of the second most glamorous competition in Europe.

Goalkeeper: Andre Onana (Ajax)

The Cameroon goalkeeper denied Legia to keep his fifth consecutive clean in all competitions for the Dutch giants.

Defender: Timofei Kalachev (Rostov)

Solid at the back and provided a delicious cross for Dmitri Poloz to net Rostov's second.

Defender: Numan Çürüksu (Osmanlıspor)

The captain led by example as the Turkish side held Olympiacos to a goalless draw in Greece.

Defender: Benedikt Höwedes (Schalke)

Helped Schalke keep a fourth consecutive clean sheet in the UEFA Europa League and set up Max Meyer to double Schalke's advantage at PAOK.

Midfielder: Lucas Tousart (Lyon)

Struck his first goal for Les Gones and proved Lyon's third at AZ.

Midfielder: Federico Bernardeschi (Fiorentina)

Secured a vital 1-0 success for Fiorentina at Mönchengladbach with a stunning free-kick.

Midfielder: Danijel Milicevic (Gent)

Playmaker set up Gent's winner against Tottenham and twice went close to scoring himself.

Midfielder: Frank Acheampong (Anderlecht)

Acheampong scored twice inside opening 31 minutes as Anderlecht claimed an impressive 2-0 first-leg victory against Zenit.

Forward: Edin Džeko (Roma)

Now the leading marksman in the 2016/17 competition with eight goals after notching a second-half treble at Villarreal.

Forward: Zlatan Ibrahimović (Manchester United)

Ibrahimović registered his first hat-trick for Manchester United and increased his impressive tally against St-Étienne to 17 goals in 14 games.

Forward: Alexandre Lacazette (Lyon)

Lyon No10 registered a fine double – he has now scored 13 goals in his last 12 games.
