Confusion at Great Olympics as Attram and Strand battle for head coach role

Accra Great Olympics has been hit by factionalism as the club held two different training sessions concurrently under two trainers.

The management of Gt. Olympics announced on Wednesday that Godwin Attram, the player cum manager of the club has been demoted to assistant coach position, with Tom Strand taking over the team as head coach.

That decision didn't go down too well with Attram, who had earlier stated that he won't work with Tom Strand when appointed.

Following the former Medeama coach's appointment, Gt. Olympics players have been torn between Attram and Strand as two different training sessions were organised by the Dade Boys by these two coaches.

"When Olympics was in division one no one came closer to the team, so why should somebody do it this time around," Attram told the press.

"I am telling the management to stop what they are doing. What I am doing is for the good of Olympics.

"I told the assistant coach we are training here, but he didn't come. I was told to come and take the team through training.

"If they have brought in a new coach they should come and pay the enticement fees of the players and all the promises they gave the team in division one and I will let them take the palyer. If they don't then we will continue training here.

"I dont want to get angry and talk, but if they want to upset I would be forced to pour out my feelings."
