Kotoko win 21st league title

Exactly 4 years today, the Porcupine Warriors became the Ghana league champions after a goalless against Berekum Arsenal.

Despite struggling to draw 0-0 with relegation-threatened Berekum Arsenal at the Baba Yara Stadium, the Porcupine Warriors secured an historic 21 title in the Ghanaian league, dethroning Berekum Chelsea.

Kotoko won the league with four games to spare, opening the points-gap between their closest chasers AshGold by 15.

Maxwell Konadu's side thus won their first since the 2007/08 season.

The Porcupine Warriors, following that victory dominated the league on two more seasons, before AshGold dethroned them in the 2014-15 league season.

However, they failed to make any impact on all the three occasions they competed in the CAF Chamions League.
