Caroline Wozniacki's victory at the Pan Pacific Open has seen her rocket back up the WTA rankings and almost back into the top 20.

The Dane claimed her first title of the year in Tokyo on Sunday as she beat Naomi Osaka 7-5 6-3, ensuring a ninth-successive season with a tournament victory to her name.

Disappointing performances earlier this season - including first-round exits at the Australian Open and Wimbledon - had dropped the former world number one to 74th in the rankings.

However, her run to the US Open semi-finals and the 24th title of her career has moved the 26-year-old up to world number 22.

With many of the top players not in action last week, the top 10 remains unchanged with Angelique Kerber leading the way. Elina Svitolina is the only climber in the top 20 as she moved up two places to 18th.

First-time winner on the ATP Tour, Lucas Pouille, rose to a career-high 16th thanks to his victory at the Moselle Open, the Frenchman climbing two places in the men's rankings.

Germany's Alexander Zverev is also breaking new ground following his surprise victory over Stan Wawrinka in the St Petersburg Open final, the 19-year-old ended Wawrinka's 11-game unbeaten run in finals on Sunday and is rewarded with a move to world number 24.

As in the women's rankings, the top 10 in the men's game remain unchanged with Novak Djokovic leading the way from Andy Murray and Wawrinka.
