Statistics that show Andre Ayew's side are just unlucky

The statistics that show Andre Ayew;s Swansea City may be the unluckiest team in the English Premier League this season

Andre Ayew and his Swansea City team have scored 24 goals in the English Premier League this season.

The Welsh club have battled with relegation in most part of the season and are currently 16th on the Premier League log after 25 games, four points above the last relegation spot occupied by Norwich City.

Andre Ayew’s side are still not safe with their survival in the Premier League this season and this statistics show things could have been different with some bit of luck on Swansea City’s side.

Hitting the crossbar or post in a football game has a 50 percent probability of either scoring a goal or the ball going out of the field of play.

Premier League side Swansea City lead the way of this statistics, having hit the post or crossbar a total of 15 times.

Had luck been on Andre Ayew and his team’s side to make the ‘good’50 percent probability and scored all 15 goals, things could have really been different.

That would have taken their total number of goals scored to 39. All teams except Chelsea who have scored more than 30 goals in the Premier League this season are in the top half of the table.

Just unlucky, right?
