Ghana's Olympic team get donation worth $32,000

Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum has donated to the Ghana Olympic team ahead of Rio 2016.

Dr. Ndoum made a $10, 000 cash donation plus an all paid for nine-day hotel accommodation up to the sum of $22, 000. The donation from the presidential candidate of the PPP, sums up to $32, 000.

“We have four high quality hotel rooms that we are going to make available to you. We will let you know the check in time and check out time. You let us know the names of the people who will be going there and we will let the hotel people know these people are going to be there for this period. It’s been paid for, the hotel room,” Dr Papa Kwesi Ndoum said during the donation.

“The other part is money. We know that the money helps and so we want to give you $10, 000 to support the athletes for their activities for the games.”

A thankful Professor Dodoo said:

“First of all thank all of you for this wonderful gift. We have dignitaries and officials who will be telling us very shortly that they want to accompany the team and one of the dilemma’s we had was we didn’t have the resources to host them. This would be a wonderful opportunity to solve that particular problem.

“Thank you so much and God bless you for this wonderful donation.”

Ghana will be represented by 16 athletes at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.
