Mikel Obi confirms Chelsea exit for China

John Mikel Obi has confirmed his move to China in a farewell letter to Chelsea - where he aimed a dig at rivals Arsenal, Tottenham and West Ham!

Super Eagles captain and former Chelsea FC midfielder, John Mikel Obi,  after so much speculations concerning his career, has finally agreed to join Chinese Super League side, Tianjin TEDA FC.

The 29-year-old Nigerian has played 372 times for Chelsea since joining in 2006 but has not featured this season.

The Nigerian captain with this move is on the brink of earning a £140,000 (173,432 dollars) -per-week pay package.

Mikel who confirmed this move on his twitter handle @mikel_john_obi , penned a heartfelt farewell letter to his Chelsea fans, expressing his gratitude for their support.
