President Mahama orders payment of monies owed female national teams

The President of the Republic of Ghana has instructed the finance minister to pay outstanding winning bonuses to the Black Maidens, Princesses and Black Queens

It was speculated that the three national female teams owed by the state planned to embark on a demonstration to agitate for their monies.

However, the Minister for Youth and Sports has assured the ladies that their monies will be paid in due time, since the president has ordered the finance minister to clear the arrears.

"has asked the Finance ministry to pay monies owed the female national teams before January 7th 2017." he told Nhyira FM.

The Black Maidens played in the FIFAU-17 Women’s World Cup and managed to qualify from their group, while the Black Princesses failed to navigate from their group during the 2017FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

And the Black Queens placed third in the Africa Women’s Championship, but none of them has been paid what is due them after returning from the these championships.
