Rabada became the first player to take out six individual awards, surpassing AB De Villiers and Hashim Amla – who had both won five previously.

The 21-year-old was named Test and ODI Cricketer of the Year, SA Players' and Fans' Player of the Year and took out the Delivery of the Year.

Rabada has made a remarkable start to his international career.

He has 24 Test wickets at an average of 24.70, 37 ODI scalps at 21.45 and 22 at 22.63 in Twenty20 internationals.

"Simply outstanding. Congratulations to Kagiso on recording one of the most remarkable debut years that any young cricketer has achieved in our history," Cricket South Africa chief executive Haroon Lorgat said.

"Added to his record-breaking performances and statistics, is his humility and level headedness that you would normally associate with a senior player.

"With injuries to our main fast bowlers during this past year, he has had to step up and lead the attack. How brilliantly has he done that."
