Coach Pete Carroll's future with the Seattle Seahawks is secure for another three years.

The Seahawks have extended their Super Bowl-winning head coach through 2019.

Carroll, the NFL's oldest head coach at 64, was entering the final year of his current deal.

He has coached the Seahawks since 2010, leading the team to back-to-back Super Bowl appearances, including a win over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXVIII.

The signing comes two days after the Seahawks announced a multi-year extension for general manager John Schneider, whose deal runs through the 2021 season.
