Rugby union: Otago remain unbeaten in Mitre 10 Cup
Otago emerged 33-32 victors against Bay of Plenty as they continued their unbeaten start to the Mitre 10 Cup's Championship Division.
It was a topsy-turvy contest, which Bay of Plenty led 24-19 at half-time, but Otago - who scored 11 consecutive points following the interval - hit the front with 10 minutes remaining via Fletcher Smith's penalty goal.
Meanwhile, Waikato beat Manawatu 19-10 in the Ranfurly Shield.
Manawatu were up 10-9 at the break but they were overhauled by Waikato, who crossed over for a controversial try in the 54th minute thanks to Willis Halaholo.
