Five players from the Cuban men's national volleyball team have been jailed after being found guilty of raping a Finnish woman.
Eight members of the squad were initially arrested in July following allegations of an attack at a hotel in Tampere during the Volleyball World League.
Two were released without charge, but five of the six who went on trial were sent to prison by the District Court of Pirkanmaa on Tuesday.
Ricardo Calvo Manzano, Rolando Cepeda Abreu, Osmany Uriarte Mestre and Alfonso Gavilan were given five-year prison sentences, while Luis Sosa Sierra was jailed for three-and-a-half years.
They were ordered to pay the victim €24,000 in compensation.
Dariel Albo Miranda was the only player to be acquitted.
