Oilers, Canadiens keep winning in NHL
The Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens continued their impressive starts to the NHL season on Wednesday.

The Canadiens left it late, but they eventually got past the New York Islanders 3-2.
There were also wins for the New York Rangers and Anaheim Ducks, the latter in particularly convincing fashion.
OILERS FLYING

Benoit Pouliot scored two second-period goals as the Oilers maintained their strong start to the campaign.
Patrick Maroon and Milan Lucic netted in the final period after Alex Ovechkin had pulled a goal back for the Capitals.
Oilers goaltender Cam Talbot made 34 saves.
CANADIENS IN CONTROL
The Canadiens twice gave up a lead against the Islanders.

Goals by Paul Byron and Phillip Danault were cancelled out by John Tavares and Dennis Seidenberg.
Shea Weber would eventually secure the Canadiens' fifth straight win with his goal with just under three minutes remaining.

DUCKS, RANGERS WIN
The Ducks scored five times in the second period on their way to a 6-1 thrashing of the Nashville Predators.

Brandon Pirri netted twice for the Rangers, who were too good for the Boston Bruins 5-2.

The Canadiens are back in action with a clash against the Tampa Bay Lightning, who hold a 5-1-0 record.
