Miller doesn't believe Peyton Manning will retire

Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller is not buying into the rumours veteran Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning will retire from the NFL.

Manning capped his 18th year in the league by leading the Broncos past the Carolina Panthers 24-10 in Sunday's Super Bowl.

Speculation has mounted as to whether the 39-year-old will call it quits after capturing a second Super Bowl ring, but Broncos outside linebacker Miller believes his team-mate will return to play next season.

"I don't think he's is going to retire," Miller said during his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday.

"He still has the physical ability and the mental ability to go out there and be great. I think he still has a little bit left in him."

While Miller is confident of lining up alongside Manning yet again, Broncos general manager John Elway said the player will not be rushed into a decision.

Manning has one year remaining on the contract he signed with the Broncos in 2012.

"There is no deadline. We'll let Peyton enjoy this," Elway said.

"Eventually we'll sit down and talk to him. There is no timeline for this. The important thing is, it's going to be his decision.

"Where we get a chance to sit down and talk to him, that's up to Peyton, where he is in that process, what he thinks he can do, how he thinks he can play...what he wants to do from here on out."
