Caroline Masson is an LPGA Tour winner after holding on for a one-stroke victory at the Manulife Classic on Sunday.

Masson, 27, was in fine form in Cambridge, Ontario, climbing her way up the leaderboard after a poor start to win her first LPGA Tour title.

Going into the final round in equal fifth, the German started the day with a double bogey.

However, four birdies from her next five holes saw her regain momentum, birdieing another five and making just one bogey on her way to a five-under-par 67.

World number one and two respectively, Lydia Ko (68) and Ariya Jutanugarn (70), were equal fifth alongside Suzann Pettersen (66).

Kim Hyo-joo, who started the final round in outright second, dropped back to equal eighth after her even-par 72.
