Winning the Tour Championship is the only that matters for Jason Day ahead of the PGA Tour finale at East Lake.

Jason Day has only one thing on his mind ahead of the first round of the PGA Tour Championship, finishing first to claim the title and maybe the FedEx Cup too.

The Australian has been struggling with a bad back ahead of the Tour finale but he will not allow that to hamper his performance at East Lake.

Day only completed eight holes of his round at the BMW Championship last week due to the problem, but he declared himself fit on Wednesday.

And the PGA Championship winner is determined to claim his fourth win of the campaign, and hope it is enough to overtake Dustin Johnson in the FedEx Cup rankings.

"It's either winning or nothing else matters," the world number one told a media conference in Atlanta.

"That's the mentality that I have to go into because, if I finish second, that's great and all, but it may not win me the trophy."
