Rosberg closed the gap to the reigning champion with victory at Monza last time out, but Hamilton boasts two wins at this week's venue - where his rival has yet to taste success.

Since Singapore was added to the F1 calendar in 2008, Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel has proven the most successful driver at the Marina Bay circuit.

With the help of Opta data, we look at the numbers behind this Sunday's race.

3  - Vettel is one of only three men to have triumphed at the Singapore Grand Prix. Hamilton and Fernando Alonso have each won the race twice.

5  - Another victory for Vettel would be the German's fifth at Marina Bay, giving him more wins there than at any other circuit.

5 - Alonso has completed five successive races without a retirement, his best run since rejoining McLaren.

7 - Rosberg has already won seven races in 2016, setting a new personal record by surpassing the six wins he recorded last season.

23 - The Marina Bay circuit contains more bends than any other track in use this season.
