Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant suffered a sprained right ankle during Thursday's 7-2 win over the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Cubs announced 2015 MLB All-Star Bryant would undergo an MRI after he rolled the ankle while running the bases in the third inning.

After singling, he scored from first on a double by Anthony Rizzo. He stayed in the game, however, and an innings later reached on a hit by pitch — his second HBP of the game.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon told reporters the team believes Bryant's sprain is mild.

Javier Baez replaced Bryant in left field to start the fifth inning.
