Ghanaian athlete misses out on 100m semi-final in Rio by 0.04s

Flings Owusu-Agyapong misses out on women's 100m semi final but still has 4x100m.

Flings Owusu-Agyapong recorded 11.43 in her race in the 100m Women’s athletics at the ongoing Olympic Games.

Flings tied at 28th position for Team Ghana in a group of 64 runners.

The Ghanaian athlete will also represent in the 4x100m competition at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Ghana presented 16 athletes for the Olympic Games in Brazil. History makers and first Ghanaian swimmers at the Olympics, Kaya Forson and Abeiku Jackson were eliminated in their respective heats.

Judoka Szandra Szogedi, boxer Adbud Wahid Omar, weight lifter Christian Amoah and sprinter Alex Amankwah have also been eliminated.
