Kotoko hires coach Frimpong Manso

The Porcupine Warriors have hired Frimpong Manso to team-up with Godwin Ablordey for the Kotoko coaching job until a substantive coach is appointed.

Frimpong Manso was at the training grounds of Asante Kotoko on Tuesday and will be on the technical bench of the club alongside Godwin Ablordey over the weekend against Wa All Stars.

A statement on the club's official website reads "He is in to help Godwin Ablordey till the end of the first round. He’s in to assist Ablordey from now till the end of the first round of the league". This decision follows the departure of Croatian tactician, Zdravko Logarusic, who parted ways with teh club on Sunday.

The former Black Stars defender was the skipper of Asante Kotoko during his playing days and he also had the opportunity to work with the technical team of the club as assistant coach in the 2000's. He has also had stints with B.A United and Karela FC, a division one side.

He will assist interim coach Godwin Ablordey also a former captain of the Porcupine Warriors in their quest to return the team back to winning ways.
