The 27-year-old attacker is the record buy for West Ham, following a £20.6 million summer move from Swansea City.

Andre Ayew is yet to get back the form that motivated Slaven Bilic to splash such a whopping amount on his transfer. The Black Stars vice-captain's progress and form has been hindered by injuries at West Ham United.

West Ham are also struggling to replicate their form last season and there is now intense pressure on their coach to turn things around.

Much of the work would have to be from Andre Ayew and his teammates to salvage the situation for the club.

Senegal pulled out of a friendly against Ghana in March, so Andre Ayew and his national teammates were in active over the weekend and they won't have any play time with the national team in the midweek.
