Bechem United on Sunday night became the first Brong Ahafo side to beat win win the FA Cup, as they defeated Okwawu United 2-1.

Yaw Arnol stole the show when he scored two goals for the Bechem lads with Akoto Danso getting on the scoresheet for Okwawu United.

Hundreds of the club’s supporters gathered along the road on Monday to celebrate and greet the team who had travelled back from Cape Coast overnight.

The team bus was preceded by an open top car carrying few of the Bechem United players, which showed off the trophy to fans who had spent hours awaiting their heroes- this happened before the team bus entered the heart of the town.

The champions received a cash reward of GHC 40,000 from the sponsors of the competition, MTN

Bechem United after winning the MTN FA Cup will get the chance to represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup in 2016.
