Dutch Ex-Blacks Stars striker scores in Dutch Cup

Mathew Amoah was on target for RKSV Halsteren, as they defeated VVOG on penalties to reach the second round of the KNVB Cup.

Former Black Stars marksman scored to help his Dutch Amateur side, RKSV Halsteren progress to the second round of the Dutch Cup.

Mathew Amoah hit the back of the net in the second half of the game and after the 120 minutes of extra time failed to produce a winner, the referee ushered the two sides into a penalty shootout.

Matthew Amoah’s RKSV Halsteren defeated VVOG in the shootout to match on to the second round.

Amoah was part of the Ghana Black Stars team that played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
