Ghanaian duo David Accam and Harrison Afful have taken to Twitter to congratulate Jonathan Mensah on his move to the Major League Soccer.

The Columbus Crew announced on Tuesday that they have completed the signing Jonathan Mensah from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.

And Chicago Fire striker, Accam, and Columbus Crew right-back, Afful, were excited to have international teammate Mensah join them at the MLS.

Accam Tweeted: "Welcome to @MLS @Jomens25 ⚽️"

Afful also posted on Twitter: ''Welcome to the @ColumbusCrewSC family @Jomens25   #therock.''

Mensah has also been called into Ghana’s squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, alongside new Crew teammate Afful, but Accam was not able to make the 26-man squad after he was dropped by coach Avram Grant.

Mensah and Accam will face off for the first time in the MLS on March 4 when Columbus Crew welcome Chicago Fire at the MAPFRE stadium.
