Black Stars attacker, Majid Waris scored the match winner for Lorient to bring them back to winning ways when they defeated Stade Rennes 2-1 on Tuesday in the French Ligue 1.

Mikael Ciani broke the deadlock for troubled-laden Lorient, who are lying at the bottom of the French Ligue 1 in the 28th minute, before Giovanni Sio put the visitors level in the 32nd minute.

But Majid Waris hit the headlines when he scored in the 46th minute to grab Lorient the much-anticipated winner they had been waiting for.

Waris who had last scored a league goal in March before last weekend's goal against Metz has now scored in back to back Ligue 1 games.
