Lionel Messi Barcelona star reportedly welcomes 2nd child

Lionel Messi is reported to have welcomed a baby boy with his longtime girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo

Barcelona star Lionel Messi is said to have welcomed his second son today, Friday, September 11 in Barcelona.

According to several reports, the forward was given permission from training yesterday to be with his wife who eventually delivered today.

There have also been reports that Messi's new son has been named Benjamin.

 

The four-time Ballon d'Or winner in May took to his Instagram to announce the news that him and his partner are expecting their second baby together.

Messi posted a photo of his son, Thiago, kissing his girlfriend Antonella Roccuzzo’s stomach with the message: "Waiting for you baby. We love you."

Messi and his girlfriend, Antonella first welcomed a son, Thiago in November 2012.

The couple who have been dating since 2008 and are set to tie the knot in a wedding ceremony that would be taking place in their Argentina hometown of Rosario next year.
